• Gisbert W. Selke is a research fellow at WIdO (AOK Research Institute, Berlin), heading research on drugs information systems and analyses. After studying mathematics and philosophy in Bonn and Edinburgh, he first worked within WIdO on the German Drugs Index, which he headed until 2000. Since then, he has been studying the pharmaceuticals market with the aim of promoting rational use of medicines. He has also worked on informing politics in Germany, China and the Philippines. He is involved in the European Piperska Research Group and in EuroDURG. He is also a member of GAA (the German Drug Utilisation Research Group) and of GAP (Society for Analytic Philosophy).
